although I’ve been dinging the twitter feed with updates I’ve been awful about posting to this page directly. anywho, we’ve been keep the polo alive this fall, with consistent turnout. despite a few sparse holiday olo attempts, we are back on today (Saturday) starting at 11 am. I piked up the largest squeegee I could find at mcguckins. that combined with Duncan’s pre-shoveling, we should be set for some sweet court action. it sounds like we already have full turnout on tap. bring your pony and the wallop!

sometimes traveling for work has it’s perks. most of the time it just prevents me from playing polo (among other things). this weekend i’m back… way back.

i am. after the largest, most awesomest tournament in polo history, my motivation levels are at an all time high.

Manifest Destiny placed 29th in our fair continent, just barely ahead of Jagwolves at 30th (even thought they beat us in tournament play on Saturday… don’t mention that to george tho). i think we eeked out a better point differential on sunday as our game records were identical. in any case:

highlight for me was playing 2 of the 3 top teams in the tournament and not letting either one of them shut us out. we gave them the business and put colorado on the polo map.

anyhow, come boulo with us on sunday 1pm at the usual location (foothills community park). i'll be on the cruiser ride tonight attempting to conjure fresh recruits, and i'm pretty sure DMM will be in the house come sunday afternoon.

3 days of the largest hardcourt tournament

this upcoming weekend (friday, saturday and sunday), Madison Wisconsin will host the largest hardcourt tournament that ever was. 68 teams, 8 courts, 3 days. despite the fact that it is the north american championship there will be some folks from europe in attendance. colorado is brining 2 teams:
-manifest destiny:
-me (boulder)
-cherri (denver)
-tall george (co springs)
-jagwolves
-scooter (denver)
-max (denver)
-jesse (seattle (formerly upstate NY where i learned to play))

it looks like we’ll be in different brackets so we can keep tabs on eachothers progress:

it’s going to be a long as drive, but i’m pretty sure it will be worth it. wish us lucks!

also if anyone wants to play in our absence this weekend, get at me and i’ll coordinate with my female partner to facilitate mallet transgression.
